Tech Impact on the Unknown Indian..(2)

I was thinking on the other day on the above topic. I posted quite a few important developments happening in the last few years. but looking at the other side, we see quite a few important things haven’t changed much.

for instance one state in India is facing acute shortage of food grains and other state has no storage space. Also the Public Distribution System haven’t improved much. there is no transparency in the transactions such as this. The Courts take whole lot of time to finish a case. This is bad for the whole country, which itself prides in democracy and unity in diversity.

The basics of the democracy is good in our country, ie free and fair elections, judicial independence, freedom for speech.. but we also have a slow judicial process, not a good PDS, not a good process for any transaction with the govt.

There are few states which has taken some steps towards e-governance. but that’s a small handful of beach sand in front of the whole Ocean. The benefits of the technology improvements are coming in piece-meal to the ordinary public. The govt. needs to take some urgent steps on these fronts. Just the govt needs to look in these as the basic items that needs to be done first. We can’t pride ourselves as the best technology provider in the world without our fellow country men getting benefited out of it.
