Technology tit-bits...

I was reading through some interesting articles very much in research in the currents scenario. Based on one such topic, I found the following interesting.
You can Google as “swarm Optimization” or “Swarm Intelligence” where Nature is helping scientist to come out with some extraordinary algorithms, around the decentralized, self-organized systems. Scientists have taken inspiration from some of the natural habitats/colonies such as ant colonies, studying bird flocking, animal herding, fish schooling, bee swarming. These habitats/colonies over a period of million of years have generated intelligence and are being analyzed world over by scientists for putting to use in various industries. These are natural intelligence and have helped scientists writers, philosophers world over to take inspirations.

if you see the above habitats closely, the collective movements of an aggregate often derive from independent decision making on part of a single individual. The scientists have generated many algorithms and these are collectively called as swarm technologies. Artists are using swarm technology as a means of creating complex interactive systems or simulating complex crowd behaviour. Medical Researchers are thinking of using such technologies to cure cancer and to study bacterial growth. computer scientists are using it for finding the shortest path, adapting to the situation/environment, and are aiming these will be the breakthrough in the future of the Artificial Intelligence or in the robotics.
